Ademetionine disulfate tosylate, also named S-Adenosyl-L-Methionone Disulfate Tosylate(SAM-T) is a coenzyme involved in methyl group transfers. It is a off-white powder with hygroscopic and soluble in water, It is made from adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and methionine by methionine adenosyltransferase. Transmethylation, transsulfuration and aminopropylation are the metabolic pathways that use SAM.
